A BREAKDOWN OF TO HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILD

1. Determine your child's status:

2. Submit a letter of intent: While not legally required, it's recommended to send a letter of intent to your local school board. Include your child's name, gender, date of birth, your phone number, and address. Send this letter annually before September 1st.

3. Choose your curriculum and teaching methods: In Ontario, you can choose any curriculum and teaching style that works for your family. You're not required to follow the Ontario curriculum or use specific resources.

4. Consider joining homeschool groups or co-ops: These can provide support, socialization, and shared learning experiences for your child.

5. Keep records of your homeschooling activities: While not legally required, it's a good practice to maintain records of your child's educational progress.
